Anxiety is a disorder that affects more than 40 million adults in the United States. According to Mental Health Gateway, this disorder is characterized by feelings of excessive uneasiness and apprehension, typically with compulsive behavior or panic attacks.
My anxiety started as an adult and came out of nowhere! I had been through some stressful experiences as a child, gone through 4 years of college, and was in the process of building my career – never once experiencing acute anxiety (or at least I hadn’t identified it yet). CONTINUE READING
