My life, filled with the overwhelming joy of sharing my precious time on God’s green earth with horses. They were always a big part of my life, but it wasn’t until much later until I was an actual horse owner, which led to multiple horses, and another blessing, TBN Ranch, our very own horse property.
All my horses had a special place in my heart, but I must admit, some were a challenge. Others were learning experiences, and then there were the diamonds in the rough. Here are the horses who gave me the memories I cherish most. The horses that would go anywhere, mountain ranges, streams, be kid proof lesson horses, or in other words, all around bomb proof mounts.
Today my life is different, there aren’t any horses on TBN Ranch anymore, but my husband & I still have the property. The barn may no longer smell of equine bliss, but it’s still full of life. The feed room smells of fresh pine shavings and the feed bins are full. There are rakes, shovels, and wheel barrels, just like old times…. just on a much smaller, more manageable scale.
Life changes, it’s not better or worse, just different. It’s about accepting age as a part of life, it’s about learning to embrace and recognize the blessings along the way. This spring I’ll turn 65, and I’m going to enjoy every minute of every day thankful to live the best part of my life on TBN Ranch, with my husband, my dogs & my chickens. Barn chores, property upkeep, and fresh eggs for breakfast… yes, life is good.
