TBN Ranch, PHX. AZ

We may live in the desert, but that doesn’t mean a little grass and a few pine trees are out of the question. We are green in a small area off the back porch, but the rest of the property is desert and cactus. Love my pine trees! They were only five feet tall 10 years ago.

Wicked Monsoon Storm Hits Home

This was our shedrow barn after it was hit by a Microburst during the 2014 Monsoon season. It was lifted off the ground and launched atop a seven foot block wall. Our landscaping, trees, and shrubs were all uprooted, fences and gates were completely destroyed.  Fortunately the house had only minor damage. The clean up took 2 months, and the price tag exceeded a whopping $35,000.

Thank goodness, just two months before the storm, we sold all our horses.  The barn was only occupied by a flock of hens who were merely startled by the sound of wind and twisting metal, none were injured.
